Veteran Support

No veteran should have to struggle alone. If you’re reading this and you’re having a hard time, you’re not alone. At Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin, we meet veterans where they are, without judgment, pressure, or expectations. Life after service can be isolating and overwhelming, and you don’t need to have everything figured out or be in crisis to reach out. Whether you’re feeling stressed, disconnected, unsure where to turn, or facing challenges with mental health, housing, food, employment, or navigating the VA, we’ll walk alongside you and help you find a path forward at your pace.

We serve any veteran, active duty military, or reservist who lives or works in Wisconsin.

Veteran Support Includes:

Safe storage of medication and firearms
Mental health access
Peer support services – veteran-led support groups are provided at VOW; individual support is also available
Alcohol/drug treatment support – we can connect you to a provider near you for alcohol or drug treatment; additionally, you can attend the VOW AA group - groups are held weekly
Food insecurity – we can connect you with a food pantry near you
Homelessness or risk of homelessness – we provide housing at our tiny home village or can connect you with other veteran housing or HUD Vash
Employment opportunities or connection to job training opportunities
VA services – are you connected to the VA? We can get you connected for your health or mental health needs

There is no fee for these services.
